Chris Garvin Appointed to GSA’s Green Building Advisory Committee

Our partner Chris Garvin was recently appointed as a member of the U.S. General Services Administration’s Green Building Advisory Committee. The Green Building Advisory Committee provides advice to GSA to accelerate the successful transformation of the Federal building portfolio to sustainable technologies and practices. Chris will bring his extensive knowledge and experience in the architecture and sustainable design industry to advise GSA on green building matters.

The Green Building Advisory Committee is comprised of a broad array of stakeholders, including senior officials from Federal agencies as well as leading green building experts from state, local, private, non-governmental, and academic sectors. In the past, the Committee has advised GSA on integrative portfolio management for sustainability, space utilization, and resilience, as well as to achieve net-zero energy for at least 50% of their building area by 2030.

I am honored to be selected as the new member of the Green Building Advisory Committee. I look forward to bringing my perspective on green building, health and wellbeing, and high-performance design to the Committee, and to be a part of their leading-edge work within GSA that continues to serve as an example to the larger industry.”
