Experience:

Stapleton Redevelopment

Roughly the size of Manhattan and offered as a remedy to Denver’s suburban sprawl, this former airport became the largest urban redevelopment project in the country. Several million square feet of commercial and institutional space, 14,000 homes, and an extensive system of parks and restored habitats occupy 7 ½ square miles of reclaimed land. Bill Browning worked with Forest City and the Stapleton Foundation to develop and implement Environmental Performance Guidelines for infrastructure, landscaping, and buildings that became The Built Green® Colorado guidelines.
