Experience:

Hegeman Residence

Common Ground is an innovative non-profit organization whose mission is to end homelessness through a model of supportive housing, which blends housing assistance with social, health, and community services. As part of a sustainable construction initiative, the 133,000 square foot Hegeman Residence will provide space for low-income and formerly-homeless family housing as well as a range of tenant-focused services. Terrapin led an Environmental Opportunities Charrette for this new construction project to be designed by Cook+Fox Architects with special attention to health and indoor environmental quality, reducing monthly utility bills for tenants, site and massing issues, façade construction, energy and mechanical systems, water management, and indoor environmental quality. Detailed Terrapin Case Studies are available in the Workroom, our private extranet full of detailed information and resources to help you make an informed decision.
