Experience:

National Geographic Headquarters

An established leader in conservation, The National Geographic Society (NGS) committed to aggressively pursue greenhouse gas reduction strategies for their corporate operations and facilities in hopes of achieving carbon neutrality for their complex in Washington, DC. To help NGS reach their goal, Terrapin led a team of experts to determine the feasibility of carbon neutrality and produced a greenhouse gas and energy end-use study for NGS’s headquarters campus. Terrapin’s report advised NGS to consider a combination of long-term capital upgrades based on lifecycles for equipment and building components, as well as operational improvements and engaged carbon offsets. Detailed Terrapin Case Studies are available in the Workroom, our private extranet full of detailed information and resources to help you make an informed decision.
