Experience:

NYSERDA Biomimicry Workshop

Terrapin is working with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing sector through biomimicry. In collaboration with leading scientists and manufacturers, Terrapin facilitated an educational workshop that explored the principles of biomimicry and its potential impacts on manufacturing processes and products. The goal is to drive “innovation inspired by nature” and create products and processes that are less toxic, more energy- and materials-efficient, and better adapted to sustaining life on earth. Using the results of this workshop, Terrapin created a strategic 'roadmap' for NYSERDA to integrate biomimicry into its policies and programs, as an influential incubator for research and development in New York State. Detailed Terrapin Case Studies are available in the Workroom, our private extranet full of detailed information and resources to help you make an informed decision.
